‘’Good afternoon Alpha,’’ Jones answered the moment the call rang once. He spoke in a hoarse voice as though he had just suffered from a series of severe coughs.

‘’Why do you sound so rough?’’ Bryce asked, not being able to ignore the fact that his friend was sounding bad.

‘It's nothing, serious sir. Just a little cold that got into me.’’

‘’You know that you have easily got cold. Why did you go out in the cold weather?" Bryce reprimanded? It was evident from the frown on his face that he was worried.

Jones leaked a small laugh and shook his head. "It's nothing. I was just out late last night and I had left my cardigan at home.’’

‘’It's okay. So what is the update?’’ Bryce finally asked.

‘’I ran a check in the pack, just as you ordered. But I could not find anything serious on the wolf you had encountered.’’

‘’What do you mean by that?’’ Bryce dropped the papers he had in his hand, on top of his desk, and took a comfortable position on his chair.
