Tessa held onto her knee, feeling a hot liquid seeping into her fingers and rolling into her palm. It has been a long time since she last felt such physical pain.

As a normal wolf, Tessa expected that the pain she felt from hitting the edge of the bed would be long gone after a short period, but it only seemed to get worse.

She limped from the floor and into the bathroom, where she sprinkled some droplet of water on her now bloody wound.

She wondered what could be wrong with her body, maybe, just maybe, she was experiencing some pregnancy stuff, but then, she could vividly recall when her friend was pregnant and she had mistakenly fallen from a staircase, it did not take up to a minute for her to get from the floor and behave like nothing ever happened. The pain was long gone. Why the hell was her case different?
