ISAIAH

I opened the door to my office just as I heard another door slam and Isabella screaming in frustration. I knew from the distance she was near Zira's room. I wondered what had happened now.

"Isaiah, we need to talk," Isabella linked me.

I sighed, not really in the mood to handle whatever drama she wanted to talk about. I had just come from a conversation with Alaia that didn't go as planned. I remembered going to her office to speak about something, but now I can't remember what it was. I last remembered her yelling about not believing her and slamming the door in my face. Believing her about what? I have the faintest idea.

Dammit! What were we talking about? I knew it had to be important, but...

"Hello...Earth to Isaiah?"

Isabella was pacing in front of my desk, glaring at me. I didn't even realize I was sitting down.

"How did I...when did you...wait, what's the problem?"

Isabella sighed. "Come on, bro. I've been ranting for five minutes while you stare into la la land
