Lyra's POV

The rest of the day has gone in a blur. I had some time to myself to rest after being kidnapped and mistaken for Devlin so I took a day away from the usual hustle and bustle and stayed in my room.

It really wasn't a break when one would wake up with a heavy heart and sleep with tears in my eyes.

I was regretting everything from the moment I was born to the minute I laid in my room trying to understand how my life had become like this; mated to someone who already had a mate and was set for marriage.

I couldn't allow myself to stop thinking of Asher, j had tried. I had done a lot of things, buried my focus somewhere else but it wouldn't work. Everytime, I see something that reminds me of him and I'm suddenly sent back remembering and thinking of the night we spent together, the night only I remember.
