Chapter 41

Lyra's POV

There was a throbbing feeling at the back of my head. It ached so badly like I had fallen off a cliff and fell right onto a boulder, which was mostly true for some parts, I did get thrown off a cliff.

My body felt seriously weak and I could feel my limbs begging me to keep laying down. It seemed like as I woke up, my whole body jolted awake and it wasn't a feeling it actually liked.

The sun was shining on my face and even if I didn't want to wake up, the blinding sunlight was enough to bring me back to reality.

I couldn't open my eyes yet because they hurt, everything hurts. From my head to my feet, I was in pain and it should be pointed out that I had several injuries on my person, injuries that I feared needed to be treated sooner or later or else they might turn into something else.
