Asher's POV

It was the morning after the whole ordeal, I had passed the night with Devlin. My sleep had been quite poor and my night couldn't get any worse.

I couldn't stop myself from thinking about Lyra, all of this had happened because of her.

I don't even know how she got into it with Kaden that made my stepmother extremely angry but I did know that I couldn't allow her to get her way with Lyra or any other person.

My stepmother, Bertha, was a cruel and bitter woman, she got off from wreaking havoc and allowing people to suffer. That wickedness in her had been there since she was a child, it was brought into this world with her and they would die together as one.
