Chapter 41 - Hunter

Hunter’s paws weren’t fast enough that day.

He had turned into a wolf the instant he heard about how Corinne was alone facing a dozen invaders alone, and as the forest moved in a blur before him, Hunter couldn't even hear the footsteps of the warriors who were slavishly trying to catch up him. Still, as he entered the densest and darkest part of the forest, where several small animals chose to den, he could hear no sounds of fighting or footsteps anywhere, just as there was no sign of Corinne's voice. Shit, he had to find her. She couldn't die like this, in his territory, alone and massacred by his enemies...

He still hadn't apologized to her for the way he had treated her. He hadn't let his pack know that his wife was also his mate...

Hell, he had never even kissed her or made her smile like he had seen her smil

They were, but they needed to organize themselves to fight, but Hunter didn't wait even a second. You know, a normal anxiety that anyone would feel at the thought of losing their fake wife ;)

Why do I see Diego nd Jennifer all over this a attack and where is Octavia when corinne is injured?? I thought his warriors were right behind him tho
