LISA'S POV

"Klaus," I begin pleading," "Can I sit this one out? I don't think my presence would do much there."

He gives me a look that immediately shuts me up. "Come on, we don't have all day."

Those bodies have been dead for about a week. I squared my shoulders and sucked in a deep breath as the three of us walked toward the barn. There were two uniform men on each side of the door. As soon as they spotted us approaching, they pushed the door open, and a foul smell hit us immediately, making my head spin and leaving me holding my breath.

One of the officers approaches us and bows, holding in his outstretched hand three gas masks. "You might like to wear one of these, your highness. They'll help curb the rotten smell."

We all nod simultaneously, grabbing one gas mask and wearing it immediately. When we were all set, we entered the barn, and the doors were shut behind us, leaving us alone. I look arou
