Chapter 179 – The Palace and The Council

Lisa's POV

Trying to wake up is like trying to get up after being rammed in the head by a moving train. Without my eyes opening, I could feel that I was on a comfortable bed and there was a blanket draped over me. I could still see the purple eyes staring at me with that glint. The memories flood back to me, bit by bit; I recall the coffee shop and meeting the rogue before she poisoned my coffee.

As hard as it is, I struggle to wake up, forcing my eyes open. The first thing I noticed was a ceiling fan rotating slowly. The ceiling had wood planks that resembled a floor. I push myself up on my arms and look around. I'm in an old hotel room, and I notice the bed is rather small.

There was no one else in the room. I swing my legs over the side of the bed and try to stand up. I expected to be in some sort of prison or bound to chains and not be kept in a hotel room. I wasn't going to stick around to find out what next,
