CHAPTER 20

LISA's POV

One hour later, we check out of the motel and drive to the nearest mall, located on the outskirts of the town. There was a large number of people trooping in and out of the mall. We had to roam around for a while before we found a parking spot a few blocks away from the mall.

As soon as we entered through the main building, I quickly concluded that the crowd here was twice the number of people living in the town alone. There was barely enough space to move an inch. I took a step forward, and a woman slammed into me unapologetically. I move to the side, trying to get close to Jonas, and I get stopped by a man carrying an outrageous number of shopping bags. A few meters away from Jonas, I get whacked in the head by a man carrying a baby trolley high in the air.
