KLAUS' POV
I nearly gagged at the smell as I walked inside the building to a mixture of smoke and beer. I was seriously contemplating having this place sued for violating several counts of the health code. How did people manage to survive living in a place like this?
Behind a wooden desk that was already falling apart, a woman slumped forward, her eyes shut as she snored lightly. One of the sleeves of her bright pink blouse hangs off her skinny shoulders. Eyeshadow was smudged out to this side of her head. Her frizzled mass of black hair was tied in a bun, but it looked unkempt. This was the ghetto definition of classy.
I pressed the bell, but it only made a pitiable sound. I slammed my fist on
Lisa's POVA man wearing a blue uniform runs towards me. His hair was rather unkempt. When he stopped in front of me, he was already out of breath. "There you are. Everyone in the hospital has been searching for you everywhere. He bent and rested his hands on his thighs. "The Prime Alpha is already freaking out. Let me take you to him. " Without asking for my permission, he pushed my wheelchair to the elevator.Thank you for helping me."No problem, miss. I was only trying to save my job and that of others. "Fortunately, no one else was on the elevator when we boarded. I was hoping Klaus wouldn't return like the last time. The trip to the floor wher
Lisa's POVI felt so helpless and free at the same time. I felt like I was on top of the world one minute and that I was being reduced to a state of non-existence the next. This was how my mood had been for a couple of days now. The different smells of food, fried, spicy, cooked, just to name a few, waft into my nostrils, making me even hungrier. After much persistence and pleading with Kayden and the doctors, I was finally given permission to leave my room, but due to my injury, I had to be pushed around in a wheelchair. At first, I tried to reject the proposal, but the ice-cold stare Kayden had given me made me swallow my protests immediately. The nurse who was assigned to help me move around the hospital rolled me along the cafeteria's stainless-steel aisles, asking me what I wanted to eat w
Kayden's POVI closed the door of the hospital room behind me as I stepped out into the hallway, watching my brother lean against the wall opposite the room. "How dare you go behind my back, Klaus?"He kept his shoulders relaxed, looking calm as he pushed himself off the wall."She's the woman I love, and you wanted to hurt her?"He shook his head, looking down. His lips turned upwards in a sneer. "Love? You can't be serious. You don't actually believe that you love her. "After all I've done for Lisa, does he still believe that I don't love her? He was still living in denial. "Don't you love Tiffany
Lisa's POVI smiled gratefully at Jonas after he finished stacking the pillows on my hospital bed so I would be more comfortable sitting up. I told him not to worry about helping me out with it and that I would do it myself, but he totally ignored my words and told me that I would be risking my poor health status by carrying out such a hard task. I wanted to argue further, but I decided to let it go. I was never going to win an argument when the other party involved was Jonas. You look like you're about to go insane due to being bored. Do you have any activities you want us to carry out together or something you want me to bring for you? "I scrunched up my nose at him in a teasing manner. "You know
Lisa's POVAn hour later, they all made their way into my room, each of them casting me an annoyed look as I waved at them, except for Klaus, who kept his head turned away from my bed. Chairs had been brought in earlier by the nurses to accommodate everyone. Both Kayden and Klaus grabbed one chair and took them to opposite ends of the room to stay away from each other. Klaus sat close to my bed, while he took a spot close to the door. Brandon had been quiet since he entered the room. He also seemed to hide in the corner between my bed and the bathroom door, which juts out of the wall. He was at opposite ends to both Kayden and Klaus. The tension in the air was becoming uncomfortable. This was going to be a great bonding experience.Jonas inserted the DVD into the player and took his seat at the edge of
Lisa's POVHis eyes meet mine briefly before they return to the floor. "I'm sorry for what I said, Lisa." He took my hand. I just can't seem to stop blaming myself for her death. Every day, I wish I could get another chance to set things right and take her place. " I was used to this; it was what he always did. He was always sweet and nice
LISA'S POVThey all blinked at me simultaneously, their faces were devoid of expression. It was like they couldn't fathom what I just said. They remained silent, waiting for me to proceed further.
Lisa's POVThe waitress comes to our table. Her black hair was pulled back into a tight knot, but a few strands managed to escape and fall across her face. She looked like she was no older than me."Good evening. My name is Melissa. Can I get you all something to drink or eat, or do you already have an order that you want me to bring to you? "We began to place our orders, starting with Klaus, me, and Dom, and continuing around the circle. When she gets to Kayden, Raymond nudges him. Kayden cleared his throat and sat up straight, his eyes popping open. "Sorry about that... I'll just have chicken wings." His eyes shut down and his head dropped to his chest once more.
