I nearly gagged at the smell as I walked inside the building to a mixture of smoke and beer. I was seriously contemplating having this place sued for violating several counts of the health code. How did people manage to survive living in a place like this?

Behind a wooden desk that was already falling apart, a woman slumped forward, her eyes shut as she snored lightly. One of the sleeves of her bright pink blouse hangs off her skinny shoulders. Eyeshadow was smudged out to this side of her head. Her frizzled mass of black hair was tied in a bun, but it looked unkempt. This was the ghetto definition of classy.
