It felt like one of those nights again. After having a nightmare that left me too scared to go back to sleep and too afraid to stay awake, I usually stared up into the darkness, trying to find peace in it. Kayden snores softly beside me while my nightmare plays in my head, over and over again. I glide my hand up over my arm and to my chest where the bandage covers the bullet wound.
