57: A trap

I stood in my bathroom with the vial in my hand and considered the best option to use it. The shower was out but the bucket and the tub were two options and I was struggling to pick one.

‘I think the tub is better. You should dip yourself in it so the potion soaks into your skin. I think it's more practical.’ Violet chipped in sensing my confusion

“I totally agree with you” I moved towards the tub to empty the vial into it and watched as it mixed with the water.

I removed my robe, tossed it to the floor and stepped into the tub. There was nothing magical like I expected and I rolled my eyes at my childish expectation. I soaked in the tub for about twenty minutes, enough for the sky to darken more to my satisfaction before I threw on some new clothes that would not carry my scent as well.

I opened my door quietly and peeped into the hallway to check for any lingering wolves before stepping out when I sensed none.

I quickly made my way through the hallway and outside the pack house.
