Frustration (2)

She’s pissed. Damn it, I should have held my frustration in. She looked ready to punch one or all of us right now, and I still had this sick feeling in my gut from her words.

As she started to head back towards the packhouse, her body vibrating like she was getting ready to shift, I called out, “Take a couple of guards back with you to be safe.”

“I can keep myself safe,” she snapped. “I don’t want to inconvenience anyone else.”

“Chloe, it’s non-negotiable,” I said firmly.

“Whatever you say, Alpha,” she muttered, then shifted back to her wolf. Her wolf looked back at me, her beautiful brown eyes tense as steam rolled out of her glossy black nose. She huffed, then took off towards home. Oscar and Pete, two of my warrior guards, took off after her, knowing to keep her safe with just a look from me.

“Damn it,” I mumbled under my breath. I could have handled that better.

That's not random. That's a presumed fact from the beginning. He's been a continuous antagonist since she shut him down on day one.

This is kind of random, but I see Boyd turning into a traitor bc of his obsession with her. He’ll start working with her crazy ex and spill their secrets. I hope not, but it could happen!
