I turned back to Damien with an eye roll. I propped my head on the table using my right hand and continued watching him wail.

"What is going on here?" I finally heard him ask as he walked towards our table.

I didn't bother looking up at him. I stood up and glanced down at Damien who had also stopped wailing.

"He said he's looking for you. Never knew you had a friend who tolerated you so much that'd he'd cry because he thought you were dead." I replied and took out my purse.

I counted some money and dropped them on the table before leaving the restaurant.

"Do you hate him that much?" Dante asked as soon as we were out of the restaurant.

I ignored him and slipped my purse into my pocket. "We dealt with Drexa's vampires earlier. How do you think she'd retaliate?"

"If she's really offended, she'd pay Rebecca a visit but I doubt she'd." He replied, causing me to glance at him.
