LISA’S POV

“What do you want?” I hissed. when Jack tossed me into the room and closed the door behind him. I thought Kyle wanted to stab me or something but it turned out Ronan asked them to check if I was awake and to direct me to Ronan’s office

“A hello would have been nice. It's been ages since we last met. It's a shame; I thought we’d get to catch up on things first,” he smirked, leaning into his seat behind the large mahogany desk.

I had to hold back the laugh that was bubbling in my chest. “We have nothing to catch up on. Plus, I'd rather go deaf than spare you a minute of my time to catch up. Are you joking, or do you have amnesia? Have you forgotten how you betrayed me?”

“Ouch,” he said, placing his hand on his chest, feigning hurt.
