Waterfall

WHEN Zerus opened his eyes, he was taken aback. His body hurt, but it wasn't enough to make him get up and take the syringe out of his hand again. He was bored by the fact that he was sick and lying in bed. After a few moments of staring at the ceiling, he decided to get up. He moved his gaze to the window and heard the children's voices.

Without emotion, he looked at the IV fluid, which was nearly half. He stomped to the window without hesitation after removing the needle from his hand. The wound on his thigh didn't bother him.

He drew back the thin curtain and could see children aged five to ten happily playing chase from where he stood. There are two female nuns guarding the area.

He scanned the area, his gaze searching for the woman. When he saw it, he smiled as she carried the child who was unable to walk. The kid's wheelchair is just next to her. He smirked coldly and returned to his bed, where he sat. He remembered Caren, the young girl he used to see in the hospital.

"Come to our game, Sister Blessy!"

When he heard the children's voices, he peeked out the window again. Something compelled him to return to the window and see the children from there.

"Lindo, don't overdo it with the running. You might fall again and get a fever," the woman warned the slender and pale-skinned youngster.

When Zerus' gaze fell on a Sister named Blessy, his eyes abruptly faded. When he chose to leave the room, he took several deep breaths.

Because his leg felt numb, he walked slowly. He needs to take a deep breath and fill his lungs with oxygen. He'll glance outside to see how safe he is in this location, since if he doesn't, he'll be compelled to flee and seek refuge somewhere.

When the youngsters noticed him standing in the doorway, intently watching them, they stopped playing. They dashed up to the woman and crouched behind her.

"Who is he, Sister Blessy?"

"I'm not sure what his name is. Do you want us to come up to him and introduce ourselves? ”

The children nodded one by one, and the woman grinned as he looked at her. She carefully pushed the wheelchair where she put the child as the other children followed behind her. He sighed quietly as he observed the children's fear of him.

"Hi!"

Sister Blessy's calm voice drew a nod from him. He couldn't find his voice, so he simply nodded.

"Your wound seem to be healing well? Is it no longer painful?”

"Yes."

The smile on his lovely face persisted. He averted his gaze and look at the wheelchair-bound child.

"What happened to her?"

Sister Blessy caught his gaze as the girl stared at him innocently. He also raised his head and gave the woman a serious look.

"Her name is Raiza," she said hesitantly.

He shrugged and received her response. It does not wish to discuss the problem of the child in front of the children.

"What's your name, B-brother?"

He fixed his gaze on the girl. It was right beside the Sister, clutching her hand to her warmly. Clearly terrified by his presence.

"My name is Fender Hearst. Just call me Fender."

Their eyes glowed, and they said his name at the same time. As they presented themselves to him one by one, he smiled.

It's good to be a kid again every now and again. When he was younger, however, he wished the devil hadn't given him the opportunity to live in the world. He had already sustained numerous physical wounds. When he remembered his childhood, he was little shaken.

"Why do you have so many tattoos, Brother Fender? Is that an earring, or what? ”

He gave a slow nod. He then turned to face the Priest who stood in front of them. He smile as he looked at him with the two older Sisters, who were clearly looking at him. He returned his gaze and decided to return to his sleeping place. The kids realized what was going on and swiftly moved away. Before he returned inside, Sister Blessy smiled and said goodbye.

He took a deep breath and sighed softly. He rekindles his strong feelings for the woman. He needs to get out of here, and Zerus believes that if he stays any longer, his heart will be jeopardized. He knew Hayes was not silent in these moments, and he would track him down and take his head.

"Good day."

When he heard the voice guys outside, he quickly got up and hurried to the side of the window. He noticed three persons from his vantage point.

Damn! I don't have a gun.

He grew scared all of a sudden. He expected this to happen, but if he didn't have a gun, he'd have a hard time fighting now. His wound was still healing, so he'd have trouble running.

"Good day. May I know what you are looking?"

"Father, we're looking for someone."

When they showed him the picture, he was taken aback. Zerus was well aware that it was he, and that there was a strong possibility that this church would expose him. He took a fast step back and considered his options. He'll be wide-eyed as soon as he walks out of this room.

He dashed to the door and stood there waiting for them to come in. Hayes must die with him if he dies now.

"Excuse me, gentlemen, but we haven't seen that gentleman yet."

Sister Blessy's words astounded him. He was unable to react from his current location.

The Priest responded, "Perhaps the person you're seeking for is in the opposite barrio."

"All okay, thank you very much. We're leaving."

At what he heard, he leaned against the door leaf. He took a few long breaths before rushing to the window and peering out. People who were seeking for him had turned away, he saw. In that part, he awoke demonically and clenched his fist.

Zerus hurried back to his bed and lay down as he noticed the woman approaching his room. He closed his eyes and imagined Sister Blessy's actions.

He didn't answer when she knocked. She knocked again and departed without receiving an answer from him. He then blinked open his eyes and looked up at the ceiling. In these moments, just one thought crossed his mind: he could hide in the chapel and finally heal. With a wicked grin, he gazed out the window. Hayes and he will have to recalculate again.

ZERUS life in Barrio Felopina returned to normal. During his week-long stay with the nuns and abandoned children at the church. He had a lot of realizations to himself. But for the time being, it's just him.

"Son..."

"It's you, Manong," he recognized the old man who had previously helped him. He'd be below and decaying if it weren't for this elderly man.

"The rice is starting to warm. I've been looking for you for a while now, and you're right here by the waterfall near the cave."

He did not respond. He stood up, and his wounds seemed to be mending a little. Manong Ben is alone in life, and his wife had died the previous year.

"How is your wound healing? Isn't that excruciating? What a heinous operation you carried out on yourself in that cave! Sister Blessy was almost confused with you when you lost consciousness, I recall. We assumed you were no longer alive. Unfortunately, we had to summon three church people to pull you out and transport you to church."

He simply nodded in response to what the old man stated. He was aware of it. When he was sitting under a mango tree, the woman told him that story. Blessy told the entire tale of how he was taken to church and then opted not to go to the hospital. He also discovered that the woman knew something about treatment, therefore she was the one who looked after him after he went unconscious.

"How long have you been here, Manong?"

"It's been a very long time. It was here when I awoke and became an adult."

He did not respond. He simply nodded in answer. They kept walking till they arrived at the front door of the elderly man's house. He noticed a basic lunch being cooked and prepared on a small bamboo table with wooden seats. It is located on the right side of the yard, next to the acacia tree.

"Come on, Son, let's eat. It could get frigid."

"All right," he said as he sat lightly in the wooden chair. He shrugged as he looked at the food on the table. Grilled large fish with plenty of chile sauce The freshly cooked rice is just next to it.

He washed his hands, as did the old man who was with him. He was about to grab the rice and place it on the dish when he came to a halt. Something is on the way. He look around. When he spotted the woman he was trying to avoid, his heart started racing. It was walking towards them from a few meters away.

He instantly averted his gaze. He lowered his hand and skipped spooning rice.

"What's the matter with you, Son? Do you dislike rice? ”

"There will be a visitor."

He was taken aback and looked about, saying, "It's true! Sister is coming with me. Wait, you have the power, don't you? How did you find out Sister Blessy was coming?”

He simply shrugged and waited for the woman to approach them. He never spooned another morsel of food. His stomach churned unexpectedly.

"Good morning, Mr. Ben, and Mr. Fender as well."

He didn't respond to the woman's kind voice .

"This Fender 6th senses ks fantastic! He could hear Sister approaching right away. Sister, let's eat! The food is still warm, and we haven't even begun."

She nodded and smiled. Zerus only saw her while she was holding a basket full of fruits.

"Sister, sit next to Fender. It's embarrassing for me if you sit next to me since I stink from the rice field in the back."

She smiled once more and sat next to him, leaving a large space between them. He avoided her as much as possible because he was just healing in this place and his heart was screaming it wrong. It has no destination.

"Are you okay, Mr. Hearst?"

Zerus preferred to go for the small pot and spoon the rice rather than respond to that inquiry.

"Let us pray before we eat, Mr. Hearst."

He frowned at the nun before hearing the word prayer, as he was not used to hearing such a term.

"Why?"

Manong Ben laughed at his inquiry, and when the woman only smiled at him, he averted his attention.

"Because we must know how to thank God for everything, big or small."

The corner of his mouth lifted and he did not listen to what she said, and he proceeded to eat alone, while the woman simply shook her head and said nothing about his actions.

"Slow down or you'll choke, Son," Manong Ben laughed as Sister Blessy completed praying to the Lord.

He only nodded in answer, rushing to eat in order to return to the waterfall, where the air is chilly and he can think clearly, free of the distractions of people.

"Mr. Hearst," she says.

He cast a short peek at the woman before returning his attention to his plate, telling himself that he only needed to eat a little more and he'd be fine.

"May I ask you a question?"

"Could you please be quiet first? I'm still eating."

She bowed her head and apologized. The nun never spoke again and began to eat silently. What followed was that Manong Ben was the only one who spoke and occasionally joked. He is a very old man, so it is not immediately apparent that he is alone in life.

He jumped to his feet and dashed towards the waterfall. He was still walking slowly, and Zerus was aware that their eyes were on him.

"I believe Manong, Fender is very angry in his heart. That's how I feel."

Even though he is a long distance away. He could hear her sad voice. He shrugged and ignored what it said.

He was leaning against a massive block of rock, and behind him was a large tree, which gave everybody who sat in its shadow a peculiar sense. He was surrounded by wildflowers, and his heart felt at ease for the first time.

"Mr. Hearst."

He didn't even open his eyes. He was certain the women would follow him.

"I apologize, Mr. Hearst, if I misunderstood you. I just wanted to ask you a question..."

He didn't even open his eyes. He was concerned that the more he opened his eyes, the deeper he would sink into the well of emotions he was experiencing.

He was a hopeless individual.

And the lady is a nun!

"Mr. Hearst? Are you sleeping?"

Zerus refrained himself from opening his eyes, despite the fact that he was tempted to do so in order to marvel at the woman's innocent beauty. From its sweet voice, which appeared to caress his icy heart, to its kind gesture, which made his dead heart sigh for a long time every time he looked at her.

There was just one thing he wanted to happen during his brief stay. He badly wanted to leave Barrio Felopina. The two-week stay is already excessive. He is also unsure whether his life will be safe in the next days. Hayes and Fortocarrero are not his opponents, but he is astute. When it comes to this sort of thing, he's the smarter one.

".Mr. Fender Hearst..."

"Did you see the man sleeping?" he said seriously. Draw out the irritation in his voice.

"You don't appear to be sleeping. You're speaking."

When he opened her eyes, he took a long breath and their gazes connected. A woman stood a meter in front of him. Her long black gown and veil give her the appearance of innocence. Its beauty was enhanced as her veil swirled lightly in the wind and caught a brief glimpse of sunshine.

Zerus admits that he felt as though he saw an angel of these moments as the trees around her danced. This is quite great. She's very stunning!

When he realized his situation, he quickly clenched his fist and regained his sight.

"Mr. Hearst, I simply want to ask you a question."

"Please leave. I'm never going to need 'those inquiries of yours. Those like you should be in a convent or a church at this time. You shouldn't waste your time talking to me."

It was a long time before she spoke and looked down, "All right. I'm sorry."

He didn't respond. He let the woman turn away as his gaze followed her. Disgusted, he rose from his seat and walked forward toward the waterfall, where the water was falling freely.

His wounds will heal in a few days. He is free to leave at this time. So it was impossible for his heart to feel odd. He was jolted a few times by the concept. It was only a hazy feeling in his heart.
