4. Trust in Destiny

If I could read minds like a Archangel Jin, I definitely wouldn't waste time guessing what Erika was thinking right now. Instead of approaching the man. Erika was silent on the bench under the window outside her room with a sad look.

"Is he not handsome enough?" I asked, confused.

Erika, who was now watching Jade, only shook her head weakly. Jade was sitting on a park bench, raising his face, letting the warm sun greet his face.

Yeah, I haven't restored the man's vision. I'll do it after Erika asks me.

"Angel Sue, do you believe in fate?" asked Erika softly.

"Yeah, of course I do. One of the silly Angels in charge of guarding the space of human destiny is one of my acquaintances. You want to know your destiny? Don't hope you can do it, he won't let anyone including me into that room!"

Erika chuckled softly. She then turned her gaze from Jade towards me.

"Is there something like that? So, everything that happened and will happen to me is already decided?" asked Erika innocently.

"I think so," I said softly.

"Can we change our Destiny?" he asked again.

All right, this isn't something I can handle. All this time, I never bothered to think of something like that. I'm not sure the Angel Michael who guarding the destiny chamber knows such things.

"Don't ask!"I exclaimed, annoyed.

"You don't know the answer?! Aren't you an angel? Don't you know the rules that exist in your nature regarding humans?"Erika sneered.

I flew very slowly and sat on a chair opposite Erika's place.

"The sky has its secrets. Only the Archangel Jin and Those Above know such things, but I'm pretty sure he won't want to say anything."

"Why is that?"

"Already, stop asking such silly and useless questions. I'll tie the red thread, so get ready!"I exclaimed as I pulled out the mission scroll the Archangel Jin had given me earlier.

"No, can you wait a while?"Erika screamed.

Now, what else? What does that cranky girl want?

"Don't make it difficult for me! I must quickly finish my task and return to my previous position!"I growled.

Erika took a long breath. She looked at the man again.

"Can you give me some time? Some time for exploration? I'm afraid I won't feel comfortable in that man's canoe!"Erika looked at me expectantly. From her gaze alone, I could tell if she was lying to me.

"Don't play with me," I exclaimed and returned the scroll.

I flew over and stood right in front of the girl.

"I know him; he was my high school friend. He is quite perfect indeed. He is kind, handsome, smart, and rich. But he lives alone. His parents died because of a disaster in his village that happened a few years ago," Erika says.

"And then?"

"I am a sick girl. If Jade falls in love with me, he will suffer for the umpteenth time from having to lose someone he loves. Don't you know that my life won't be long?!"

Ah, shit!

"Why did you bother thinking about that? After you die, your connection to the world will be severed. You won't even remember who you are and who your partner is! Aren't you just asking that you can feel what it's like to be loved? So, why are you messing with something like that?"

"I only feel guilty if I make people miserable for my happiness."Murmured Erika.

Should I ask Angel Julian if that's a sin?

"All right. I'll restore his sight, and replace the target."

"Wait a minute, why are you in such a rush?"Erika screamed right before I snapped my fingers.

"Didn't you ask me to finish my job?!"I growled.

"I really liked Jade. Can I stay close to him for a while? You still have plenty of time, don't you? Be kind to me!"

"You sly fox. You want to have fun with Jade before you meet your soul mate?"

"You said it in a very annoying tone. Hey, be kind, you know I've suffered enough."

Girls don't know themselves.

"If you like him, then just accept him to be your soul mate!"

"No, it will make him suffer later," Erika eyes with teary eyes.

"All right. I'll give you a little time. To be honest, being stuck with you is no fun. But I'll be a little kinder to you."

Erika smiled so broadly. Her face shone in the sunlight, and her eyes twinkled. Without saying anything more, Erika immediately ran over to Jade. The girl immediately stood in front of Jade, who was completely unaware of her presence.

Yeah, I have to get his sight back, or the Archangel Jin will drag me straight into the courtroom.

I flicked my finger, and the glint of light hurt Jade's eyes, making him scream while looking down and holding his eyes.

"Jade, what's wrong?"Erika screamed in panic. The girl immediately turned to me and looked at me intently with her bellied eyes.

Damn girl, I've been so kind, but she dares to glare at me like that?! Should I make him blind?

As soon as I said that, lightning instantly struck, and her voice thundered on this sunny morning.

Yeah, he gave me an answer before I could ask.

Slowly but surely, Jade's vision began to return. He looked at Erika with a strange look that I didn't understand.

"Erika, are you here?"Jade asked, puzzled.

Erika smiled, then sat down beside Jade.

"I was treated here."Erika said casually.

"Are you being treated here? Aren't you healed? Oh, wait! I can see you!"Jade screamed in disbelief.

Stupid man. He should have noticed it as soon as he opened his eyes.

"Ah, I heard you had an accident and lost your sight? Sorry for that."Erika looked very sorry when she said that.

I flew to them and sat down on a tree not far from them to watch them. I'm out of work, too, so I'm relaxing by seeing a play.

"No, you don't have to feel bad like that! Hey, this is so weird! The doctor said there was a chance that I wouldn't be able to see again, but now I'm here and see you! I can see you very clearly!"Jade exclaimed so happily.

Most humans are like that. They will know how valuable something is after losing it.

"I'm so glad you're okay," Erika said with a smile.

What's wrong with my eyes?

I can't take it anymore. I immediately flew away from Earth and searched for Archangel Michael. He must have been doing something weird while guarding the room.

"Wow, what's wrong with your face? Have you met a chatty client again? Hey, you have to understand them; it's so confusing and frustrating when we suddenly lose our memories, and have to follow creepy Angels like you to places they don't know!" great-grandson Michael said as soon as I got in front of him.

"I'm not upset about the spirits, I'm upset about a shitty human being who keeps hindering my work!"

"What?"
