52: Uncontrollable Changes

When I calmed down, I let go of Wilson's hug. He handed me a handkerchief which I immediately wiped with the tears running down my cheek, as well as the mascara that spread under my eyes. It made me look horrible so I immediately wiped it. But it didn’t do well so I wet the handkerchief a bit. Wet wipes would be better, but I don't have it now so I'll settle for this.

I quickly adjusted myself and retouched so as not to notice that I was crying. Now, it's my pride that's all I have. And the least thing I could do is to save it.

After I got satisfied on my look, I turned to him. We can't stay here long because someone might have entered.

"Are you okay?" he asked gently. The look is predictable.

I tightened my grip on the purse and smiled sparingly.

"Let's go. I am fine now."

He sighed and nodded. He held my waist and opened the door. We quietly returned to the hall. I saw Mama, they were at the same table with Aunt Laura. Cheska wasn't
