            “Where the fuck is he, Zane?” I demanded, barging into the Beta’s office.

            Lucas hadn’t answered his office or cell phones, leading me to check for him at the pack house. Instead of finding my mate, I found Zane. The guilty look on his face made it clear that he knew something about my mate’s whereabouts.
