The Flashes

Renata was shocked that she slept with someone. She was never that drunk that she would make such a mistake. She brought a stranger home, rather a stranger brought her home. And then she slept with him. Even her friends were not aware of what she was doing inside her room.

She ran to the door and brought Severino in. “Just take your… whatever… with you and leave. Leave now!” she commanded.

“Yes, yes, sure,” stammered Severino. Last night that girl was happy and sweet and now she was rude and angry. He was a little scared of her.

“Boss! Michel! Let’s go!” shouted Severino and moved inside the house. Renata pointed him in the right direction and Severino moved towards her room. He stood by the door and saw four girls giggling and talking to him while he was buttoning up his shirt.

“Go? Go where? Dear Hazel is making coffee for me even though it’s Ambrosia’s turn,” he smiled and said loudly so that Renata could hear him.

As he thought Renata came running and shouted, “what?”

“What?” he asked innocently.

“Who is making what for whom?” she shouted.

“He is our guest,” giggled Hazel.

“He is no one. We don’t know him. Please get out before I call security,” snapped Renata.

“And tell them what? That the owner of the building is here?” taunted Michel.

“Owne… what?” shouted Ambrosia.

“Yeah, this is my building. I designed it and I own it,” smiled Michel.

“Maybe, but not this unit. This unit belongs to me. This is my house and I want you to get out, now!!” Renata’s anger was at its highest.

“You cannot talk to me like that. Do you even know who I am?”

“I don’t want to know who you are.”

“Are you the famous architect, Michelangelo Venturi?” asked Hazel. Being a civil engineer herself she always kept herself updated with engineering gods and goddesses. She too wanted to work in Venturi constructions one day.

“Oh, you have heard about me?” asked Michel, happy.

“You are like civil engineering royalty. I am a civil engineer myself,” smiled Hazel and batted her eyelids at him. Renata rolled her eyes at both of them.

“What will you take to leave us alone?” she barked.

“A date!” Michel's reply was instantaneous.

“Excuse me!” shouted Renata.

“Go on a date with me, and I won’t bother you again, ever. I guarantee you, you will fall for me,” winked Michel.

“In one date? I will fall for you?” asked Renata.

“Yep!”

“Someone’s a little overconfident!”

“Try me!”

“Please just get out!”

“So, you can sleep with me but not go on a date with me. You used me just for my body? Are you a playboy? You do this to everyone, sleep and never call,” pouted Michel.

“Are you done with your drama?”

“Maybe!”

“Then leave. Else I will leave,” warned Renata,

“Then leave. I will have my coffee and then I will leave.”

“Wait, what? Why would I leave? This is my house, you leave,” snapped Renata.

Their fight was going nowhere. No one was ready to leave, and Renata wanted Michel to leave. His stupid handsome face was making her remember the mistake she made last night.

Slowly she remembered how he placed her softly on the bed and she giggled and giggled when he tried to take off her boots. She would sit up again and again and would ask him to wish her happy birthday.

“I like your voice. Say happy birthday again,” she would demand like a bossy child. And Michel would obey her order and while laughing he would wish her a happy birthday.

When he came close to her to make her lie down, she grabbed his collar and pulled him in for a kiss, a kiss that she wanted in the bar, but she fainted. But last night, in that moment she got what she wanted. She kissed him. She kissed him with all her heart. Her tongue kept swirling inside his mouth for long.

The next thing she remembered was how she urgently moved her hand all over his chest and unbuttoned his shirt to explore more of his body. A chill ran down her spine when she recalled how he unzipped her dress and kissed her all over.

His wet, urgent, delicious kisses made her cross her legs and she started avoiding looking at him. She bit her lips when she recalled his hands all over her naked breasts.

“Bloody hell! What did I do last night? Why did I do that? I never do that. I never do that,” she kept mumbling.

But flashes were not going anywhere, her memory kept waving before her eyes. His handsome face kissing her mouth kept appearing before her eyes. His hands all over her body, his mouth all over her body kept flashing in her mind.

She almost gasped when she remembered how she rode him last night. The poor man didn’t even do anything. She was on top of him. She squirmed when she felt his maleness inside her body. She remembered how she felt pain for a minute and then it was okay. It was more than okay. She enjoyed his maleness the whole night.

She facepalmed when she realised that that was why her whole body was sore. It was because she had sex all night. She had sex with a stranger in her bed all night. What was she becoming? A whore!

Was Michel, right? Did she use him for his body? She glanced at him while he was busy talking and giggling with her friends in the kitchen. Ambrosia and Hazel were making tea and coffee together and Michel was talking to them about his construction business. The most interested one, was Hazel.

What they were talking about Renata had no idea. She was busy checking Michel out. The top three buttons of his shirt were unbuttoned. And she knew what was inside that shirt. How firm was his chest? It was like he himself carried all the heavy equipment on the construction site. All his muscles were chiselled by God herself. Not a single flaw.

And his smell, God! The musk she smelled last night was out of the world. It was sweet yet woody but at the same time masculine and minty. She was not even sure how many scents his body mingled into themselves. All she knew was he smelled delicious.

Her eyes lowered to his pants and she knew those pants were hiding three long and thick things, two were his legs, and one was his maleness. The way he wrapped his legs around her legs made her feel that they were made for each other. His body caressing her body made her feel like two pieces that were made to fit each other. Was it possible to forget that feeling? Did she really want to forget that feeling?

And his hair, his curly hair was like tiny ropes that were trying to pull Renata towards him. And somehow, she was being pulled. She didn’t want to, but she was being pulled. She just wanted that handsome devil out of his house, and he was not ready to leave.

Moreover, he had the audacity to ask her on a date. Why would he want her on a date? He was a Greek god and she was a mere mortal. He was CEO of Venturi Constructions, and she was an employee in a small advertising firm. There was no match.

Yet she wanted to run to him and run her fingers through his soft curls and pull him into another kiss. Wait, what? No, she must not think about that. He was a stranger with whom she had a one-night stand and it meant nothing.

She has to forget about him and carry on with her life. It was a good thing that she had no parents else, they would have snatched her freedom and asked her to marry the moment she turned 18. Or maybe they would not have been so conservative, let’s say 25.

And now, being an orphan, she was 29 and single. No pressure from family to settle down or have kids. She was living her life on her own conditions, and she was happy. She didn’t want a man in her life. But a man like Michel won’t be so bad, she thought.

“You know you are drooling,” interjected Severino.

“What?” snapped Renata.

“You are checking out my boss,” he teased.

“I am not checking him out. I am staring at him because he just barged in and refuses to leave,” she lied.

“Yeah, right!”

“Talk about yourself. You have not stopped checking out Ambrosia since the moment you entered my house,” she taunted back.

“Well, she is the fiery one. I like fiery and snappy girls. They are hard to handle but I like taming a beast,” replied Severino.

“Ew! Never say that. Never say that to a girl, especially if you are interested in them,” suggested Renata. “They are not some lionesses for you to tame. You are not a ringmaster.”

“I will keep that in mind. Any more tips you got?”

“I will tell more when you take him out,” chided Renata.

“He is my boss, not the other way around.”

“Is he so nosy all the time?”

“Yep, curious cat! He wants to know everything about everything.”

“Ugh! He is one of those people?”

“Yes!” sighed Severino.

“By the way, were you in an accident?” asked Renata.

“What? Why?”

“Your wounds. There are cuts on your arms and your face is bruised,” said Renata.

“Yeah, a mild accident last night.”

“WOW! An accident last night and you are here? Why not go to a hospital?”

“I am fine. My injuries are just superficial,” smiled Severino.

“If you want Sam can check you out, she is a doctor,” said Renata.

“One moment you want us out and next you are concerned about us?” joked Severino.

“Not about us, just about you. Do you want me to call Sam? She can help,” said Renata. But she didn’t wait for Severino to reply. She shouted at Sameeksha, “Sam! Can you check him out? He was in an accident last night.”

“Sure! Let me get the first-aid box.” Being a household of a doctor, the first-aid box was always up to date.

While others enjoyed their coffee and tea, Sameeksha asked Severino to take off his shirt and the girls hooted when they saw his broad shoulders and beautiful pecs. Renata rolled her eyes and shook her head in disbelief.

Severino flinched when Sameeksha pressed on his bruised stomach making him remember about the accident last night. Or was it really an accident?
