I was already shaking with anger when Sapphire completed narrating the story. She hesitated to look into my eyes, and oddly fumbled with the sheet of the bed.

"I told you to stay away from him. He was dangerous. I knew he's messing with me. But never have I ever dreamed that he would do this."

"I didn't know he was dangerous..." she mumbled. "I would have never been with him if had known.."

"But why did you have to be so stubborn. I tried to tell you, Nina tried to tell you, you never listen. Did you even think of the consequences?"

"In my defence, you never warned me. It was just Nina and I really am guilty about not listening to her. But why are you mad at me? I thought you've forgiven me."

"Forgiven you for being foolish? Yes. Forgiven you for dating Parker? No."

"Wait a second there. What makes you think that I ever dated him?" She scowled.
