“How much longer do you need to stay in the hospital for?” I asked Brandon over the phone, from the bathroom stall at school.

The setting kinda reminded me of the first time I met Brandon…when he was err…let’s not bring back foul memories, shall we?

“Maybe in two days, if all tests come back fine tomorrow.” His voice sounded tired. He had to go through a lot of health checkups and tests today, and even though his leg and ribs haven’t healed fully, if his x-rays and scans were clear, then he’d be allowed to go back to his apartment soon.
