CHAPTER 11. DELILAH'S POV

One second he was eavesdropping and in the next one I heard him unlocking the door. I looked for protection and the first thing my stupid self could find was a pillow. Great protection against a big bad wolf... A pillow. Ugh.

Of course all self-protection thoughts evaded my mind as soon as I caught a glimpse of him. Then, I was sure it was Venus' doing. She was so in awe of him that she made me forget about the danger he represented. I mean... Hello? Kidnapper?

Anyways...

I could have sworn the door opened in slow montion for him, as if taunting me with his hotness. And despite knowing I should not be oggling my kidnapper, I couldn't stop myself. Especially now that I could see his perfectly sculpted abs. His eight-pack ended in a sexy delectable "v" shape that made me instantly think of an arrow that pointed downwards... To the main goal. Before my eyes could move any lower reaching this final destination, my brain processed the picture as a whole, only then realizing something was seriously wrong with this scene. The only reason why I could see so much of his body was because his clothes were majorly shredded. Anyone who has ever been around wolves for the smallest amount of time knows that the most common way to make your clothes look exactly like that is by shifting in a rush.

After that MY brain got back to working as it should (Yes, mine, because Venus had been MIA ever since we'd heard his voice coming from the other side of the bedroom door).

This was his room, his territory. Why would he have to shift quickly?

I was here. I was fine, but I was not the only one that was taken from that bus.

"WHERE THE HELL IS THOMAS?" I yelled, throwing the pillow back to the matress and preparing myself to shift. Before he had the chance of replying, I smelled blood so I charged towards him.

'Why am I still human, Venus?' I asked, pissed, while shifting the weight of my body and rotating my hip so I could kick him. I moved fast and soon my right foot hit his ribs making him grunt. No matter how fast I moved, before I could set my foot back on the ground, his hand got a hold of my ankle. 'SHIFT!' My wolf kept ignoring me. Had her survival insticts completely evaded her? For Moon Goddess' sake!!!

"Thomas is fine. He is still sleeping in my Beta's bedroom. I just checked on him." This pack's Alpha said in a low angry voice.

I tried to pull my leg back, but he did not ease on his hold. I was the picture of how to look pathetic. One leg being held up in an obtuse angle by a man who was much bigger and stronger than me. A man who looked like he just fought someone... And won mercilessly.

Venus snorted. 'You are getting way too creative.' She finally said, letting me know she was here the whole time. She simply chose to ignore me.

"Let go of me." I demanded, resisting the urge to cross my arms. Somehow I felt that would make me look even more pathetic.

"Will you try to kick me again?" He asked, raising one of his eyebrows while a smirk took over his lips.

"I did not just try last time. I kicked you and I will do it again if I have to." I said, making my eyebrow match his.

"Yes, you did, because I let you, but I will not let it happen again. My office is completely destroyed, my body hurts, therefore I am already not in a good mood. Which means that if you try to kick me again, it will really piss me off. So... Let me ask you once more: Will you try to kick me again?"

Something in his tone made me hesitate, before I could make up my mind, Venus answered for me.

"No, she will not, sir." My eyes turned turquoise for a second and the voice that left my lips was a tone lower than usual, letting him know that it was not me, but my wolf.

His eyes flashed violet for a second, taking me by surprise. I had never seen such color in any human or wolf's eyes. His entire demeanour changed right after that. He did not just let go of my leg, but he also looked much calmer and at ease. Apparently, he was ready to move on from our small altercation, because he started moving towards his ensuite bathroom.

Again, a few seconds later than I should have, I finally realized he said something about his office being destroyed. All color vanished from my face immediately.

"Have they already found I was here? Where are they?" I asked, frantically.

He stopped on his tracks right away and turned to face me again. His head bent slightly to the side as he studied my expression with a crease between his eyebrows.

"No. There is no one here besides my pack, you and Thomas. And there won't be..." He paused, narrowing his eyes probably due to noticing that his answer made me relax instead of freak out. "Also, I doubt your father or your fiancé will figure it out soon." And with that, he simply walked into the bathroom, slamming the door shut and ending our conversation for now.
