22. Pain

It was late at night but sleep was far too away from her. She sat on the floor with her back resting on the bed, her knees were pulled to her chest as she stared at the wall in grim silence, after every few seconds her vision blurred and she had to blink to get rid of the tears.

How easy it was for him to think that she liked performing in front of all the men.

She hated it.

Anything that was forced on her, she hated that but he didn't know. All he knew was to judge her.

Hooriya didn't ask Sonia to sell her off back to the brothel. Hooriya had heard Sonia talking to the Maalik (boss) that same night when Hooriya stayed at her place.

Hooriya was shocked, it was a brutal betrayal to her. This was a hard blow for her, reminding her cruelly that she has no one in this world. Hooriya immediately ran away from Sonia's house. But Sonia was right after her.
