Aryan-“She is adorable!” Kierian’s sister wrapped me in a tight hug the moment we arrived on the football field, where everyone was lingering around waiting for the game to start. When she finally released me, I wasn’t sure how to react to her lack of boundaries. I knew her name was Callie, just like the Rogue that I introduced to Kierian when I took him to the café. Unlike Callie from the café, this one was dressed in black leather, with many small braids in her hair, with green streaks. She had piercings all over her face. Her lips had snake bite piercings, her left eyebrow was pierced, her nose, her cheeks and there were many piercings in her ears. I didn’t realize I was staring, until she started snapping her fingers, with black and green polish on her nails, right in my face.“They are all fake. Don’t tell my parents though. I am trying to prove a point to them.” Callie laughed and I noticed there was a tongue ring in her mouth, which was obviously not fake.“Do I want to know w
Aryan- It took me a little longer to reach the parking lot because the kids kept blocking me and trying to keep me away from Kierian. For a minute I thought Liam was on my side because he helped me get to the parking lot. Just before he left his words stung. “Don’t think this means we are good. You have no idea how much you hurt him. If it were me, I would end your life before you took your next breath. You have really disappointed me. I thought you were going to be good for him.” Shaking his head, he walked away before I could speak. Finding Kierian standing next to his car, my mind completely went blank. Everything I meant to tell him tonight or what I needed to tell him now, just evaporated into nothing. It didn’t help that when I was standing directly in front of him, I didn’t know what to say or how to start apologizing. “Since you aren’t going to talk, I am going to take everything that Brianna said as the truth.” Kierian’s voice was flat, and his expression didn’t hold a sin
Kierian-To say I was livid was an understatement. I have invested so much time and effort into Aryan. I knew she was struggling with something, but I didn’t realize that she didn’t trust me. I didn’t know what hurt worse. The fact that she was the Aryan I had spent years searching for and she knew it, or that she didn’t trust me. Then there was the whole bet thing. With the bet in place, for all I knew she had been playing me from the start.“What do you want to do about her?” Liam asked. We were standing at the far side of the gym, where the dance had already started. There were still two minutes until Aryan’s time was up. I wasn’t actually going to press her on the time since I knew girls needed time to get ready, but if she didn’t show up, I would make her life more of a living hell than I planned to.I didn’t think she understood what she did was wrong. My feelings were all over the place and I wasn’t sure what to do. I still loved her more than life itself, but obviously, she di
Aryan-When I walked into school Monday morning, I wished I had called in sick. Brianna, Claire, and Liberty were standing by my locker. Since the locker situation had stopped, I started placing my books back in the locker in the hall. I kept certain things in my gym locker, just in case.“Why are you three here?” I asked when they stepped out of the way to let me access my locker.“We are here to follow through on the bet.” Brianna held her chin up as if she was proud of it.“I can understand you being here, but what about the other two?” I motioned toward her friends. “They weren’t the ones who agreed to the bet.”“That’s what I said.” Liberty muttered but quickly stopped complaining when Brianna glared at her.“Since I can’t be with you every second of the day, they will help me follow you around. If I can’t do it, they will take my place and wait for you to say if you need help with something. I have set it up with the school that we will rotate following you to class just in case
Aryan-For the first time since the night of the game, when my entire life blew up, I finally felt like I was getting somewhere. A few minutes before my hour with Slater ended, I managed to keep Brianna behind me for an entire lap. Granted she had lapped me, so I technically still lost.Just being able to stay ahead of a wolf, while in human form was impressive enough. If in only an hour I can find the motivation to train harder, maybe this was all worth it. Which is why, as I was showering, I couldn’t stop smiling. After leaving the locker room, Brianna was waiting for me in the gym, already showered and changed. “You know I just went easy on you, right? It isn’t physically possible that you can be faster than a wolf when you don’t have a wolf.”“I am curious, but what makes you think that I am completely without a wolf?” I raised one of my brows as if I had a secret that she didn’t know.“But I can’t sense a wolf on you.” Brianna looked perplexed as if she was now unsure if I had a
Aryan-I tried to keep my focus on the lesson in Mr. Benson’s room, but it was difficult. Kierian and Connor were having a staring contest the entire time. Since they were both Lycan’s I am fairly sure they were arguing telepathically.I thought that maybe Kierian was acting this way because he still wanted to be with me, but then again, I wasn’t sure. Just as class ended, he got out of his chair and left the room without even glancing at me. I couldn’t let myself think about it.“Are you going to the field after school? Today will be my first time on the team and I would like to have you there.” Connor stopped me at the door, as I was leaving the classroom.I noticed Kierian hadn’t wandered off too far, because I caught sight of him down the hall, talking to Liam and two other guys on their football team. Without thinking, I responded to Connor, while returning my attention to him.“I don’t think I will be going to the field for a while. I found something that will help me find out w
Aryan-Arriving at school the next day, I was already ready for it to be over. I almost called out of school just so I could start investigating what I found last night. There were a few Packs I was going to check out. I knew I couldn’t do much with the local Packs, but I could at least drive by them.I thought about going to the Packs to pretend I was looking for a new Pack, but it likely wasn’t a good idea to start with a local pack. The other Packs I could look at, were a bit of a drive, which meant it was better to wait until the weekend. There was one Pack in the area that I could go to since they were open to the public as a tourist spot.At the very least I could look around and possibly find out something. I doubt that I would find much, especially since if they were open to the public, they likely took extra care in hiding things. When school was over for the day, I debated whether it was a good idea to go alone.“Are you okay?” Connor’s voice pulled me from my mental debate,
Kierian-“Are we just going to stalk her now?” Liam held the paper he received from the girl at the entrance, with her number on it.“You aren’t even interested in that girl, why did you take her number?” I asked, ignoring his question.“Because I think it is funny. Maybe I will call her, maybe I won’t.” Liam shrugged as he stuffed the paper in his pocket. “Don’t try to dodge my question though. Why are we following Aryan, but not letting her know?”“I just want to make sure she isn’t in any danger.”“Oh please, even I know that isn’t the reason. Ever since Connor came into the picture, you have been asking me and Sylvie to spy on her. You don’t care about anything we report unless we say something about Connor and her talking. Admit it, you are jealous.” Liam laughed as he bumped my shoulder with his fist.“Do that again and I will cut your hand off.” I glared at him.“Oh, so touchy.” Liam feigned a look of horror on his face before laughing more.If it weren’t for the fact that he w
