Chapter 47

Aryan-

As soon as we were ready, we drove the long way around town to enter from the opposite side. If we entered from the side the witches were on, they were likely already watching out for them to cross. When we were at the border, I was having second thoughts.

“What if they catch us the moment we cross?” I asked Kierian.

“Don’t worry, even if we are caught, I won’t let anything happen to you.” He smiled at me, which didn’t help ease my tension.

It wasn’t me that I was worried about. It was the kids, him, and the witches. As for me, I knew Kierian would put my safety above all else. I still didn’t know how I felt about it, but I had to admit it was slightly comforting.

“We need to use our link to communicate from now on.” Liam said upon exiting the car we borrowed from one of the witches.

It was a minivan and would be able to hold most of us. Connor, Sylvie, and Liam were going to create a diversion when we had the kids so there was enough room for Kierian, me, and the kids. It was
