21- Bruises

Two days.

It had been two days since she last saw LeRoy and truth be told, Anna was worried. Especially after the scene that Martha pulled in Alpha Derrick's study, she could barely sleep a wink at night.

But something strange happened the next day and even now as she sat at the table for dinner. The same Martha who had panicked, crying her eyes out and begging that her son should be found, was eating calmly at the table looking like she had no worries at all.

Not one of them seemed bothered. Not even Grace nor Sarah who ate in silence next to each other.

Anna didn't understand it. Did they forget they had a younger brother or what? If they did, then it was just sad that she remembered in their place. She couldn't take her mind off LeRoy.

"He disappears a lot," Martha suddenly spoke.

Anna looked at her and saw she gave a sad smile. Why did she look so sad even if she knew that?

Alpha Derrick wiped his mouth, "It's not a big deal. We were only surprised when he didn't pick up. Usually,
