"I hear the young Alpha has returned,"

"Didn't he run away? How long has it been?"

"Four years. Luna Martha didn't look bothered at all. She still attended our parties and they didn't even send out a search for him."

"Are you sure he's really her child? What mother would act that way?"

"He's the same age as the twins, right? Twelve years old. To let a boy that young wander about by himself." their tone was judgy and their face in disdain.

"But I heard he returned without a scratch and was even more handsome. His silver hair is almost as long as Leah's."

Ezra tightened his hands around his ball. He had gone to pick it up where his big brother kicked it so far away when he heard his mother's friends gossiping.

He had heard the rumour about the young Alpha who had gone missing and what's worse, the search party was cancelled a year after he left.
