Meanwhile on Leah's stroll, she was admiring the rose garden under the moonlight when she heard the sound of people chattering. She looked up ahead and saw black hair and a wide back in a black suit. His height reminded her of Leroy and his frame too. The couple he seemed to be talking with noticed her presence as they reduced their voice to a hushed tone.

The man turned a bit and her eyes widened at his side view. He was handsome. The couple walked away while the man turned his full attention to her. She stared at him, smitten by his looks and the warm smile on his lips.

His smell? Human. Why did that have to ruin it?

"It’s rude to stare," the sound of his voice was gentle and calm like soothing water on summer's day. He held a glass of champagne in his right hand as he made his way to her.
