Chapter 57

Klaus

Justin and I left the house and made our way to the fields. It was noon already, and the weather had cooled down a bit, becoming more lenient than it had been a few hours ago with the scorching sun that seemed determined to burn our skin.

I clapped him on the back. "Let's race down to the stables and see who gets there first."

"Alright, buddy!" Justin said in high spirits.

"Okay… On your mark!... Go!"

We sprinted as fast as we could until we reached the stables, with me taking first place and Justin trailing a few inches behind.

Upon reaching the front of the stables, he fell to the ground, lying flat on the grass outside it dramatically, already exhausted from all the running we just did.

Justin and I usually exercised a few times a week whenever we had the chance. Keeping fit was a priority for us both. It made our minds and bodies active at all times.

"Good afternoon, sirs," the stable warden greeted us as soon as he saw us.

"Thank you, good afternoon to you too," I responded
