The Betrayed Wolf of the Moon Goddess
The Betrayed Wolf of the Moon Goddess
Author: Becca Lou

Chapter 1.

Destinee POV.

“Wake up, you useless, wolf-less bitch.” The searing pain of my hair being ripped out of my head burns my scalp. A slap landed on my face before I was thrown to the floor. I bit my lip, causing it to bleed. My father is Alpha Maximus Shaw. The Alpha of The Snow Moon Pack. He took delight in my punishment. All because I didn’t receive my wolf at 18.

I knew not to whimper, as it would only result in more pain. Why did the Goddess do this to me? Did I offend her in a previous life? Regardless of the reasons, my pack shunned and abused me, even though I loved and was trained to rule over them.

“Move your worthless ass now, Destinee. We have Alpha’s from other territories coming today. If you make yourself seen, I will fucking kill you, daughter or not.” He snarled out. I bow my head in submission. He kicked me in the ribs for good measure before stomping out of my room and slamming the door shut behind him.

I cried quietly; it was never like this before.

When I was born, I was destined to be the first female alpha, hence the name Destinee. They started training me when I was 4 years old. My father taught me personally. I learnt quickly and by the time I was 16 years old; I was the best and strongest fighter our pack had.

Mother and father were so proud, I grew faster and was bigger than other pups my age. I was more of a tomboy growing up. I would rather be covered in mud play fighting with the pups my age than go shopping with Mom. According to her, even though I was the future Alpha of our pack, I needed to act like a lady. I huff at the memory.

I pulled myself up onto my knees, holding my ribs. They were definitely broken. With tears streaming down my face. I moved as quickly as I can to my bathroom to get a shower.

Looking at myself in the mirror, I took in my appearance. The red handprint was bright against my fair skin, my blue eyes were dull and lacked shine, my hair was long and as dark as the night sky. My nose was small, and my lips were thin, but they were perfect for my face. I did once have curves, but I was like a walking skeleton. My ribs and hip bones were prominent because of malnourishment. My soul was dead.

My bottom lip quivered at the sight of me. Why was I given this life? Selene has a lot to answer for.

Selene is the Moon Goddess. She created the werewolves and lycans. My bloodline are direct descendants from her. Our wolves are bigger, stronger and have abilities. Well, all except me. I was a defect a human.

I showered quickly and got changed into my uniform. I was an Omega and had been for 2 years. When I didn’t shift on my 18th birthday, my father was outraged, and he stripped me of my Alpha title, making me an Omega. The lowest rank in the pack. This left me open to abuse from not just my father but the other pack members, too. Mom didn’t once step in to stop it, but she didn’t take part in it either. She left me to rot.

I left my room and quickly made my way to the kitchen, wincing from the pain in my ribs. I needed to start on the last preparations before the other Alpha’s arrived. Just as I was leaving the kitchen to head to grab my cleaning supplies, I ran straight into my father. I lowered my head. “I’m sorry Alpha,” I braced myself for the slap, but it didn’t come. I go to walk around him when he grabbed me by my forearm and slammed me into the wall.

“Where do you think you’re going? Did I say you could leave?” he spat at me. I kept my eyes down. He tightened his hold on my arm and I whimpered. “Look at me Destinee,” he tried to use his Alpha command, but it didn’t work. Instead of defying him, I looked up. His wolf Brutus was on the surface. He growled in warning.

“I’m sorry Alpha, I didn’t see you. Please forgive me.” I whispered out, looking into his pitch-black eyes. An evil sneer appeared on his face. I became nervous as he loosened his grip on me, holding my breath. He stepped away from me, his eyes returning blue.

“What are you waiting for, leave. I will deal with you later.” He turned on his heels and heads towards his office. I released the breath I didn’t realise I was holding. I moved as fast as I could to get my cleaning supplies and make a start of cleaning the pack house.

Once I finished, I go back to the kitchen to see if anyone needed any help. People looked down at me with sneers. I hated that fucking pack; I wanted to leave. I would rather have been rogue than deal with that shit.

As I was leaving the kitchen, somebody yanked my hair, which made me fall back and hit the hard floor with a thud. My head bounced off the floor. My vision blurred. I looked up and saw one of my many tormentors, Natalia; she was an Omega like me; however, she treated me the same as everyone else did with permission from my father.

“Well, if it isn’t the defect, the freak. You are unworthy of being in this pack. If it were up to me, I would have banished you.”

She squatted down and grabbed my face, her claws shifting and piercing into my soft flesh of my cheeks. She snarled in my face. Something in me told me to glare back at her and not to submit. Enough was enough. So, I did. I glared at her, and a growl leaves my lips.

Her eyes widen, and mine did too.

What the fuck was that?

She grabbed me up, thinking I was challenging her; she marched me by my hair to my father’s office. Panic had set in.

“Your done for now, bitch,” she spat.

We reached my father’s office. There was no point in fighting. I would’ve rather died. I didn’t want to be here any longer.

She knocked on his office door. When he answered, she threw the door open and shoved me to the floor.

He jumped up. “What is the meaning of this, Natalia?” he glared at me.

I returned his glare without flinching.

I wanted to see him suffer. I wanted his blood.

“Alpha, she attacked me in the kitchen. I was only asking her if she needed help. She growled at me and told me she would kill me.” I laughed, listening to that bitch. Shaking my head, I stood up.

His gaze snapped to mine, and a warning growl emitted from his chest. I folded my arms over my chest. I was going to reject the pack and leave. They treated me worse than a stray dog, but not anymore. “What’s so funny Destinee? Do you deny attacking a member of this pack?” there it was, a member of this pack.

“What’s the point of denying it? You wouldn’t believe me if I told you it was the other way around. You are no fucking Alpha, you’re a disgrace. So go ahead and believe your little whore.” I knew I shouldn’t provoke him, but I was done. I stared him down in a challenge. He roared at me and tackled me to the ground.

He punched me, and his claws and fangs elongated. “Fight, Destinee, don’t give up. I’m here girl” I looked at my hands and long black claws rip out of my finger beds and pierced into my father’s ribs. My gums tingle as fangs elongate and I rolled us. I was stronger than he was. I bit his chest, claws racking down his torso. He whimpered. I was so confused he kicked me off of him.

His eyes are wide, and his chest is heaving. I growled in warning.

“Destinee, you’re you’re shifting.” He said in disbelief. I go to speak when a scent of the forest after it rains hits me. I turned and saw him. My mate. He looked disgusted at what he has just saw. I whimpered.

He was beautiful; he is 6 foot 5, bulky and muscular. His eyes are a beautiful emerald green and his hair is black. “mate” came out of his perfect lips. His voice was deep and melodic.

I stepped back, whimpering. Knowing he was going to reject me. I lowered my head. No, no, no, no. I looked towards my father. He goes to step forward. With tears rolling down my cheeks. “I Destinee Shaw, Omega of the Snow Moon Pack, reject the Snow Moon Pack as my Pack, I declare myself rogue.” I collapsed, feeling the pack link sever and simultaneously. My bones broke and muscles realign, I shifted.

I stared down my father from inside my wolfs mind. She spat at him, “you’re no father.” His eyes had widened with shock. She actually spoke out loud.

Then she howled and ran for the window, bursting through it and headed toward the forest. “I’ve got you Destinee,” she said.

We ran, the sound of paws approaching us and fast. We heard a loud howl from behind us, but we ignored it and increased our speed.

Jumping over fallen logs and rocks. We reach the border. Before we cross over it, a giant black wolf tackled us. He whimpered this was my mate; he shifted and showed he was no threat, with his hands up and was approaching us slowly and cautiously.

“Shift back, give her control.” He said to my wolf. She growled at him and stepped forward, her head low and teeth barred, preparing to attack if needs be.

“Please, I mean you no harm, mate. My name is Alpha Titus Blackwood. I am the Alpha of the Venom Fang Pack. Please, you are my mate. I won’t let anything happen to either of you. I have been searching for you both for a long time.” We heard a twig snap and a whimper.

We shifted our attention to the sound, to see Brutus approach. My wolf roared and took off again, crossing the border. Hearing the heart-broken howls of my father and mate.

We kept on running until we reached a lake by a human town. “Erm, I can’t shift back. I don’t have any clothes.” I say to my wolf, who just chuckles, “What’s so funny?”

“We don’t need clothes. When we shift, you will be fully clothed,” she chuckles. I rolled my eyes at her.

“What is your name? And why didn’t you come when I was 18?” I asked her, twiddling my fingers. She stopped running and walked to the lake for a drink. I caught sight of us. She was beautiful.

She had pure white fur, black claws, her fur was so shiny it looked iridescent. Her eyes were stunning. She had one blue and one green. She looked bigger than most alpha wolves. “I’m Aura, I am not late Destinee. I have arrived when I was supposed to. Woman in our bloodline don’t receive their wolves until they are 21, but you babe, are an exception. You are special and I watched what you went through and so I came to you now.” She huffed out as she lay down on the edge of the lake, resting her big furry head on her front paws.

“Aura, what are we going to do now?” I asked her, thinking that this wasn’t the best thing to do. She chuckled at my question.

“First, we rest, then we find somewhere to live, we find a job and we move on. Destinee, you made the right choice rejecting our pack. Our mate will forgive us. I’m sorry you went through what you did, but I’m here now and won’t let you get hurt again. I love you, Destinee.” She was the first person or wolf to say, “I love you,” and I sobbed. No one had said that in 2 years. “Sleep Destinee, I will protect you.” With that I gave into sleep.

I woke in human form. “Well, what do we have here, then?” I looked up at the woman. Oh shit, what do I do?

Found it unbelievable of a parents’ love to change overnight to hatred just cos she didn’t have her wolf? That shouldn’t be true love then..
