Chapter 38.

Destinee POV.

I have lost track of time; I haven’t seen Titus since he dumped me in my new home.

Sadia and Kendra bring me food and water everyday and a change of clothes. They have even tried to make me more comfortable with blankets. I am only allowed out of my cell under the watchful eyes of the pack warriors to use the actual toilet. Which is a separate room next to the stairs, which I thought was a storage room. At least I don’t have to use the bucket. I cringed at the thought, but still at least I can wash my face.

“Aura, how long have been down here for?” I ask her. She is slowly going mad. She needs to be free. However, keeping us in here is breaking her spirit and replacing it with hate and a burning desire to destroy the pack and everyone in it.

“At least 5 days, Destinee, we can break out, but I’m waiting.” I furrow my eyebrows and snuggle into the blankets. The sun is going down.

Most of the time we sleep or pace the cell, nothing much else we can do.
