Chapter 16

"I must've gone insane for a moment. Yup! That's the logical conclusion." Faith repeated to herself for the umpteenth time.

Ever since that night that Devlin touched her hair and butterflies erupted in her stomach, she'd been questioning and reassuring herself.

Some guy passing guy gave her an odd look and crossed to the other side of the walkway. Faith fought the urge to yell after him, "I'm not a crazy person." That would only make her look more insane.

Plus who was she to say that she wasn't insane? Hadn't she just been telling herself that she went insane for a moment?

The irony of the situation was not lost on her so she began to chuckle to herself. Yet another passerby gave her an odd look and moved away from her.

"Okay, you need to calm down," she said to herself. At this rate, she would be committed before she could make sense of everything.

What she needed was to sit down and think. She would be seeing Devlin for their next session soon. She needed answers before then.
