"Won't you wake up and scold me for crying like this? Please wake up grandfather, I want to hear you say------"
" A leighton never cries," grandfather said his voice coming out hoarsey followed by coughing loudly,
"Oh my gosh grandfather, you -- you are awake!" Brandon exclaimed in excitement looking around to see if there was any water but when he didn't find any, he ran out of the room going to call the doctor.
Minutes later, he came back with the doctor and nurses following behind and grandfather wasn't coughing as hard as he was minutes ago.
The doctor kicked both boys out of the room but instead of going back to the wait area, they stood by the door.
"Hey what happened? is everything okay? Why did you run off to call the doctor like that?" Kaden frantically asked.
"He woke up!" Brandon exclaimed again, "grandfather has finally woken up!"
