Chapter Thirty-Two

"Oh my goodness!" I muttered to myself. I felt like not minding the fact that it was my birthday and hugging Jake where he sat and telling him that it would be okay and that I still loved him.

Jake kept staring at me in my wedding dress. It was as if he was the one that wanted to get married to me, but feel within I knew that he was the one that owned me.

"Ooh dear, look at how beautiful you look," Lincoln said coming to me with his men following him behind.

"Was this all necessary, having men stalk my movements just a day before the wedding?" I blurted out.

"Shh, don't let them hear you, remember our deal," Lincoln warned. "Dies such a deal involves you stalking me because I didn't remember it as part of the deal, especially before the wedding," I said.

"Calm yourself down, they mustn't suspect a thing," Lincoln said. "I don't care, this wasn't what we agreed," I argued.
