Chapter Thirty-One

"Veronica," Diana said as she hugged me. I knew that she must have known how bad I must have felt about everything.

"Look at my daughter, finally you are going to become a bride, it was very thoughtful for you to spend your last moments of being single here with us," My Dad said.

"Dear, don't cry, come on," My Dad said. I knew that he was just being too insensitive and felt very annoyed.

"Come on dear, your sister prepared a meal for you to eat," My mom said as Diana led me to the chair at the dining table. I knew how good my sister's food tasted and felt a bit relieved.

"You will need to eat to prepare yourself for the long day tomorrow," Diana said as she went into the kitchen to bring the meal to eat...

Jake was in the sitting room in his apartment, thinking about tomorrow's event and feeling bad. He knew that even though he had told Henry about fighting for me, it would look stupid because there was no way that he would be able to stop the wedding.
