Chapter 96

Eden pov

I hurried out of the car with grocery bags in my hands, I should’ve been back ten minutes ago but Audrey insisted I dropped off something for her at her apartment. Percy was back home alone and I didn’t like it, even after he assured me that he was going to be fine I just wanted to be with him.

I pushed up to Audrey’s apartment which was unlocked, I sighed in relief when I pushed the door opened.

“Audrey- I’m back!” I yelled and walked into her apartment with the bag tucked in my hands. There was no answer, maybe she was up in the bathroom? I placed the bag on the counter and turned to leave when I noticed a paper on the counter, it looked like a letter. It wasn’t any of my business so i ignored it.

“Audrey! I’m leaving-“

“Eden?” My head snapped towards Zach who was standing in his sweats with no shirt on and the way his hair frizzled and bare chest glistened in sweat, I couldn’t help but raise my brow at him.

“Oh Zach- you’re here.” I said. “Where’s Audrey?”
