Chapter 27

            Joanna showed Courtney around the condo when she arrived. She was pretty impressed by it for a maid who worked in a mansion.

            Fifteen minutes later, they were sitting in the floor around the coffee table in the living room eating shrimp cocktail and cracked crab and drinking Cristal for lunch. As Joanna’s mother would say, they were living high off the hog.

            Joanna had gotten dressed in the brand new clothes Trevor had bought her; a pink blouse, and beige khakis. She even wore the jewelry Trevor bought for her. Courtney had on a black T-shirt and white shorts.

            “You look really good,” Courtney said with her mouth full.
