Thirty-Eight

Lisa was working out on a treadmill when a soft knock came on the room door. Lucio peeped his head in through the open doorway.

"Hey Lisa"

Lisa did not bother looking at him, after her meeting with Valerie, she had tried avoiding Lucio in the best possible way. She was mad at him for not seeing through Jason, he was very plastic and could really hurt a fly. Lucio must have been blind or Jason must have put a spell on him. That was the only explanation she could come up with.

"Hey" He said again hoping that she would stop and look at him but she didn't. She increases the speed. Lucio arched up his brow at her, he had no idea why she was giving him the attitude. Before she left for her personal time out of the company, she was smiling at him but now she wasn't smiling at him, she wasn't even looking at him and that hurts.

His heart squeezed and he walked towards her and turned off the machine.

"What's wrong with you?"

She glares at him and tries to turn it up when he holds her hand.
