Thirty eight

"Are you going to be fine on your own?" Alex asked as he was about to go out to work. He had requested for another help at home but they had not gotten one yet.

It was also already past Steph's due date and Alex knew how anxious Steph was. He wanted to calm her down but she was telling him she was fine even though he knew she wasn't.

Alex moved towards where Steph was sitting on the couch. He dropped his bag on the side and sat next to Steph.

"I know you're worried about the fact that it's already the second day already past the due date," Alex said and Steph turned her face to the other side.

"No, I am not," she said and turned her face to the other side so he wouldn't see her face.

He smiled and turned her face back to him with his hands on her jaw.

"You will be fine and Isabella will come to us at the right time, that I am sure of," Alex said with a smile.
