"I miss you, Quinn."

As soon as the helicopter took off, I embraced Quinn tightly. My heart beats erratically like it's ready to come out of my chest.

"It scared the hell out of me. I don't want to lose you again. I thought Chad would do something to stop us." I whispered, burying my face on her neck. I felt the tender caress of her fingers raking my hair, giving me the comfort I'd longed for since she was gone.

"But he didn't do anything like how I always remember him. He's a good guy. Amara and Chad look good together. Amara likes him so much, and I'm happy for them," she had a smile on her face.

"We're ready to land, Xav," Hendrix announced.

"Sure," I answered and fixed Quinn's gears before mine.

"I miss you too," Quinn whispered back, sweetly responding to my message earlier.
