Nate’s POV

“You’re going to go over to where they live, and the first thing you’re going to do is to apologize to my friend, because I’m sure he felt insulted after you walked out on him without even saying a thing.” My dad explained while staring intently at me and my lips thinned into a small line almost immediately.

“Why do I have to apologize? I didn’t do a damn thing to him.” I said to him after a few moments and I watched as he breathed out a small sigh before starting to rearrange the files scattered around on his desk.

“Like I said before, it’s because you walked out on him the way you did, it was in a way that was somehow insulting to him. You do know he’s doing us a favor and not the other way round, don’t you?” He pointed out after about a minute and I started to slowly bite on the insides of my cheeks, not knowing what to say in the next moment.

“He sounds really self centered though. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to apologize to him.” I informed my dad afte
