Chapter 28 : Jaime's Pov

The night I left Louie, I received a call from a nurse where I learned that Carlo was taken to the hospital after he had an accident. I was so scared and nervous that I immediately got out of his car and left without saying goodbye to him. I was shaking with so much fear, and I didn't realize that tears were falling from the corner of my eyes while I was calling a taxi. Furthermore, I immediately reached the said hospital where he was, and I was stunned when I met him. Our eyes met each other as he looked at me in surprise.

“Jaime? What are you doing here?” was the first word he uttered in his mouth, but I did not respond to him immediately, but instead I ran to him, and then I hugged him tightly while I cried. “What's wrong? Why are you crying? Did something bad happen?” he added as if he had no idea why I was crying like a child in front of him.
