Chapter 55

It was midday and the sun was blazing hot.

The heat had overshadowed the air and because of that, the leaves of the trees along the streets of BlueVille stood still and failed to dance.

For a second one could conclude that even the trees along the road equally felt the heat.

Only a few people walked the streets and some of them could be seen applying sunscreen to avoid the rays of the sun from having direct contact with their face.

June was astonished at how the intensity of the sun shot up so quickly.

"My goodness, I can't believe the sun is scorching this much," she said after she moved away from one side of the windows in the living room.

She had pushed the curtain open to allow for some natural sunlight, but the heat from outside would not let that happen so she pulled the curtains back and closed the window.
