Chapter 79: Dealing with the truth

Lucas drove the car like a madman as he raced to reach the hospital. Kiandra's words of confirmation kept on ringing in his ear as he shook his head in disbelief.

He was the father of Zendaya? But how was that possible when he had never slept with Kiandra? No, not remembering sleeping with her was the right thing to say.

Was that why he always felt a connection with the little girl and why he was able to stand her? Right from the first day he laid his eyes on Zendaya, he could tell she was a special child but he would have never imagined that she was his daughter.

His mind then took him to the times Kiandra had tried to tell him something but for one reason or another, she was interrupted. Was this what she wanted to say to him?

His hands gripped the steering wheel firmly to the point they turned white. He finally got to the hospital and without wasting any time, he headed straight to the doctor's office.

"Mr Valencia, what brings you here?" The doctor asked. "I was just preparing the
