Chapter 44: Doubt

As the party began, Roswell had more people to talk to.

"I'll just talk to some ambassadors. Is it okay if I leave you alone here?" Roswell asked me.

I quickly nodded to him before speaking.

"Yeah, sure! Don't worry about me here. I'll just walk around here," I answered, then shrugged my shoulders.

He nodded and immediately joined his acquaintances. I don't know what they're going to talk about, but I know it's about work.

I walked there first, and some people talked to me. When I got out of the pool area, where there were many people, I stayed at a high table while drinking wine.

Some women talking at the other table didn't escape my hearing, especially when I heard Roswell's name.
