Chapter 45: The Morning After
"Hey, do you think that I should try to get pregnant again right away so Brad doesn't ever know that I lost the first one?" Sam asks softly.
"Hmm. I don't know. Starting a marriage with a secret like that is always a bad idea. It was bad enough that I had to marry someone I didn't even know, but if I had a secret it would make it tons worse."
She hesitates and then mutters, "Oh."
When she looks at me again, I can see the sadness in her eyes. For the life of me, I don't know why I say this, but when I do I surprise myself. "Sam, if it makes you feel better I will be in your wedding."
She looks up and smiles brighter than I have seen in quite a while. Her whole demeanor changes and she becomes the Sam I first knew. "Do you mean a bridesmaid or something?" She asks. I am just about to respond, when I hear Dean say, "Fuck!" in the next room. We look at each other and go to investigate.
