Chapter Twenty-One - Mr Arrogant CEO

Alice's POV

I came to Alexander's Hotels and Suites to apply for a job as a secretary. Prior to that, I learned that they needed a new secretary through a magazine.

I was twenty-two and I already had a degree in Business Administration. I've also worked with a few companies earlier on. I knew I was fit for the job, so I applied for it.

As I arrived at the company, the first thing I noticed was the carefree attitude of the people there. Everyone went on with their businesses without apparent care in the world.

What particularly put me off, was the ineptitude of the receptionist. She scolded the visitors and other fellow applicants and spoke harshly to them, for no just cause. Well, perhaps because their boss, the CEO, hasn't been able to put up an appearance, in about a month's time, as I heard.

I could recall categorically how she spoke to an elderly man who wanted to be directed to where to make reservations for a room.
