LILY'S POV

I leaned on the door, crouching to the floor, hugging my weak knees, as a tear fell off my eyes.

I waited to hear a knock on my door, but no one came, and it was over five minutes. It seemed like he had gone, as I heard distant footsteps.

It was surprising, as I thought Aiden would trail behind me, and maybe try to talk to me, even though it looked like I was pushing him away.

It baffled me that he just turned away, and left. I wondered what was going through his mind, but this hurt me.

For a second, I thought I felt nothing for him. Even if I wanted him to stay away from me, I still wanted him around.

This was stupid, wanting someone to be there for you, yet pushing him away.

I couldn't blame him for leaving. My words, I know, were like thorns. I hated to speak whenever I was angry, but it was the only way I could express myself.

I rested my head on the wall, letting my mind fight numerous thoughts. I heard the door click open, and my eyes flew open.
